Orange Fennel Salad


A very simple, refreshing, flavorful, unique salad, loaded with vitamins, and all the good stuff. This salad will stand out visually and in taste, on the dinner table.

Recipe:

Fennel bulb - 1
Oranges - 3
Salad greens - 2 cups
Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
Balsamic vinegar - 2 tablespoons
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground
  • Trim the fennel bulb, and thinly slice it.  We will only be using the whites for the salad.  Can use the greens to garnish the salad plate.
  • Peel the oranges, cut into rounds.  
  • Prepare the dressing by combining olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and black pepper.  Whisk it well.  
  • Put the fennel, oranges, salad greens in a bowl.  Toss it.  Serve it with dressing on the side.
